The official opening of the 18-hole course in Binowo took place on September 3, 2000.
Among the honorary guests were, among others, Princess Birgitta of Sweden and the Swedish Golf Legend – Sven Tumba. The World Golfers Championship, organized by him, is the largest amateur tournament in the world.
Binowo Park Golf Club handles the Polish edition of these championships, with winners from various categories participating in the world finals.
