Golfer Rights and Responsibilities

Each golfer with a valid Polish Golf Association handicap card should be aware of their rights and responsibilities regarding maintaining their handicap. This article provides essential information for every player.

The player is responsible for maintaining and updating their handicap by regularly submitting their scores.

How and where to report scores?

Results can be reported via the golfer’s account on the website www.pzgolf.pl. In case of any problems, the result can also be reported via the reception of the parent club.

When can a round be used for handicap purposes?

A round must follow the Rules of Golf, with the following exceptions:

Tournaments

If a player is disqualified but gained no significant point advantage, the score can still be counted for handicap purposes. Otherwise, the tournament disqualification invalidates the score for handicap purposes. The final decision is made by the Committee.

Non-tournament play

Scores from rounds outside of official tournaments will not count if the player breaks the Rules of Golf or intentionally ignores penalties. However, scores may count if a player follows a Local Rule, even if not officially adopted by the Committee.

Modelowa Reguła Lokalna

Jeżeli gracz postępuje zgodnie z postanowieniem Modelowej Reguły Lokalnej, nawet jeśli Komitet odpowiedzialny za pole nie przyjął tej reguły, wynik może być zakwalifikowany do celów handicapowych. 18 or 9 Holes

For an 18-hole round to count for handicap purposes, all 18 holes must be played. If only 9–17 holes are played, the score from 9 holes should be submitted, and the rest disregarded.
