The History of Binowo Park and the Brax Family

Sven-Olof Brax, Swedish businessman and entrepreneur, together with his son Johan Brax decided to invest in Poland and bought a farm south of Szczecin 1990. In 1991 Johan Brax moved to Poland. Being close to a city like Szczecin and only two hours from Berlin there were from the beginning an idea of developing part of the land for more than farming. Already in 1994 there was a plan to build a golfcourse and hotel on Radzisewo Hills. This project did not come to life but in 1997 a new golf project was developed in Binowo.

1999 the short hole course opened and in 2000 the championship course and the club house was opened by HRH Princess Birgitta of Sweden and golf legend Sven Tumba. Binowo Park is the 4th oldest 18-hole golfcourse in Poland.
Managing Director Slawek Pinski has been a crucial part of the Binowo Park team since the early days of the resort’s development. He has played a significant role in the development of golf in Poland.

2022 the golfcourse was further developed by ‘Garden Rooms’ ; offering our guests accommodation in 12 two bedrooms beautifully situated on the golf course. Close to the clubhouse and its charming restaurant.

2022 also opened up HolyCow-TheHappyningHouse. An over 100 year old barn that has been refurbished in the Binowo Village. Possible to book for private events, art classes etc.

Sofia and Johan Brax live in Sweden and are heading Binowo Park from the family’s side together with their daughters Ella and Ester.
